There’s always something to blame – too much rain, coastal road, global warming; when sometimes, a simple shift in behavior can make a huge difference.

The House Committee on Environment from the Lagos State House of Assembly, led by its Chairman, Honourable Shabi Rasheed Adekola, agrees.


On a recent courtesy call, they gave their nod in support of our goal of Empowering Communities, and Protecting the Environment. REED Initiative is using market access to connect reed basket makers to consumers and policymakers.

We are currently working with artisans in building a sustainable value chain that aims to replace nylon with biodegradable alternatives in Lagos State.
