He is fluent in: Arabic, Hausa, Fulani and English. He speaks Yoruba and Edo passably, not to mention Nigerian pidgin.


At REED Initiative, we as a social venture, dream of a Lagos where reusable reed baskets MADE BY LOCAL WEAVERS, becomes the default shopping carrier across Lagos and eventually across Nigeria, transforming a traditional craft into a scalable, climate resilient economic movement.

Our long term ambition is to normalize sustainable consumer behavior while building a structured, commercially viable ecosystem for artisans.

We are building a sustainable, scalable value chain for local reed basket makers to combat plastic induced flooding by replacing nylon shopping bags with reusable, biodegradable alternatives in Lagos and surrounding communities.

SO WHERE DOES MR ABDULAZEEZ COME IN?

Most of the stakeholders in the artisan community hail from Northern Nigeria. Though they speak passable pidgin, contexts matter.
This is where Mr Abdulazeez comes in, ensuring that all communication gaps are 100% closed.

After all, all Lagosians suffer FLOODING and need ECONOMIC ENHANCEMENT, regardless of where they hail from.
